Micky Finn's Announces New Bartending Workshops For April, 2025
posted by Brandon Turbeville on Mar 23, 2025 If you've ever seen a truly talented bartender at work, you quickly realized that bartending is more than just pouring drinks, it's both a science and an art. The tools, ingredients, methods and the presentation are all part of a long tradition of proper pouring and mixing that has been honed into a science in and of itself over the course of many years. But it is also one that constantly evolves and expands as new drinks, combinations, ingredients, and products appear. Indeed, it is the creative element of bartending - new drinks, presentations, and ideas - that provides the artistic element to the skill set. But there are also many other details handled by bartenders that may go unnoticed if you're not paying close attention. A good bartender has to know the tools available, drink terminology, proper health and safety precautions, and how to adapt to slight changes in available ingredients or quirky orders. Thankfully, these are all skills that can be learned. In fact, if you are interested in learning the ins and outs of bartending, you're in luck. Micky Finn’s is now offering a series of Bartending Workshops. All workshops will be open to the public, and will be offered at The Sapphire Room, Micky Finn’s new event center. The workshops will only cost $29.99 (plus tax). Payment is due at signup to hold your spot. The class is also non-refundable due to extremely high demand. Since available spots are limited, you’ll want to sign up for your spot quickly. You can sign up by calling The Sapphire Room at 843-317-9426 or visit the Micky Finn’s South Side location in person at 550 Pamplico Hwy. Florence, SC 29505 during store hours (9:00am – 7:00pm). Please take note, the only way to guarantee your spot for these classes is to follow these instructions for sign-up. The classes will be taught by both former and current bartenders, all Micky Finn’s staff members. The company's goal with the new Bartending Workshops is to take individuals with little to no experience in bartending and provide them with a lifelong skill set that will enable them to embark on a new career or simply pick up a side job on the weekends. Of course, you don't need to be in the market for a new career to attend the Bartending workshops. Curiosity and learning a new skill is a good a reason as any. Micky Finn's stated that the Beginner level classes will teach - Health and Safety Precautions - Bar Terminology/Tools - Techniques - Recipes - Etc. The $29.99 (plus tax) fee will include a two hour class that includes the above contents with live demonstrations and hands-on practice at workstations. It also includes a bartending kit (a $50 value). The Beginner's Workshops will be held on the following dates: April 3, 2025 April 8, 2025 April 10, 2025 All class times will be from 6:00pm-8:00pm. All classes will be held at The Sapphire Room. If you've ever been interested in learning bartending as a new career or if you simply want to learn the basics so you can make better drinks at home, this Beginner's level Workshop is for you! But don't wait too long to sign up. Slots are already going fast. |
