"Donk Master" Sage Thomas To Appear At Micky Finn's Buc-cee's Location For Free Bottle Signing, Bour

posted by Brandon Turbeville on Aug 17, 2025

Over the past year, Micky Finn's Liquor and Beverage Warehouse (the most recently opened store located across from Buc-cee's) has become known as the premier location for liquor, beer, and wine tastings in the Florence area. This new Micky Finn's location regularly hosts tastings on a weekly, if not sometimes daily, basis.

Ranging from store brands to more rare offerings, the tasting schedule at Micky Finn's is always eclectic to say the least.

But one upcoming tasting is sure to stand out from the rest.

On Friday, August 22, from 5:00 to 6:30pm, Sage Thomas (AKA "Donk Master"), owner of In and Out Customs Racing Team, will be stopping in to the Liquor and Beverage Warehouse (across from Buc-cee's) to debut his new Bourbon Whiskey, Fort Mose'. Thomas is the official Brand Partner of 1738 Fort Mose', created and owned by Victor G. Harvey.

The event will be free and will include samples of the whiskey and a free bottle signing by Thomas himself.

As for the product itself, the Fort Mose' website provides an interesting history. It states,

In 1726, thirty-eight African born slaves would escape from the Carolinas, head south and seek refuge amongst the Spanish just two miles north of St. Augustine, Florida. Known for being skilled workers and farmers, these brave men and women also fought alongside the Spanish and their Indian allies against their former masters. In 1738, the governor would declare Fort Mosé the first free Black town in the United States. Fort Mosé 1738 Bourbon Whiskey was created by African American spirits maker Victor G. Harvey Sr. and is bottled at his very own Palm Beach Distillery that has recently relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Fort Mose' 1738 Bourbon Whiskey is aged for 4 years, with a mashbill of corn, rye, and malted barley. Fort Mose' has a palate of rich cocoa, warm hints of custard, hint of cinnamon, creamy, smooth, caramels, and oaty barley.

Fort Mose' comes in two versions,  Bourbon Whiskey and Straight American Rye Whiskey.

Victor G. Harvey, the CEO and owner of Victor George Spirits and creator of Fort Mose' 1738, has high hopes for the trajectory of his brand. "When I first got into the industry in 2007 there were very few, if any, Black people with their own brands," he says. "I knew I didn't just want to put a name on something as a private label, but wanted to create, make and bottle our own products.
